Marketing Blogs Every Salesperson Needs to KnowOn December 1, 2021 by blog-admin
As a salesperson I always tried to exceed what was expected of me. I’m not just referring to goals, but also when it comes to understanding the process as a whole and its implications.
It was from this objective that I started looking for more and more complementary material in relation to my area.
As a salesperson, I try to read about behavioral psychology, neurolinguistic programming, and body language, for example. I know that this knowledge is complementary to my activities and that it helps to improve my results.
Even so, with the recent changes and implementation of inbound and outbound marketing processes, the evolution of the commercial area made it necessary to add knowledge about prospecting, qualification and closing in the digital environment.
It was with this need in mind that the team of Blue World City developed this list of the best marketing blogs for you sellers interested in knowing more about the entire process and defining the step by step of each business opportunity that comes to your hands.
After all, we have to use the evolutions of process to gather key information that will help us generate value during our negotiations, isn’t it?
In Outbound Marketing done by Capital Smart City, the situation becomes even more complementary. The segmentation of the process ended up bringing a need, as the differentiation between Hunters and Closers brought even more complexity to the process and allowed the seller to specialize in what he does best.
Again, we still need to understand the origins of each of the opportunities we’ve been given.
A lead that came by inbound, nourished by my content, must receive different information from another lead prospected by my outbound team. In either case, my speech fits the situation and my understanding of the lead’s journey here makes all the difference.
That’s why I keep reading a lot about marketing. I want to better understand the previous work, the pillar of my process. Without marketing generating new leads (and with a Hunters and Closers process) I won’t be able to sell.
The more I understand the work of those who come before me, the better my feedback will be and, consequently, the greater the evolution of the process. All of this will ultimately be returned through generous commissions and increased company revenue. 🙂
What do you think? Does it make sense to you too? If so, let’s check out the best blogs on the subject!
The Results Digitais blog is one of the references in Brazil in Inbound Marketing. Far more than just offering an industry-leading tool, they also share a number of crucial techniques and tips for developing an effective passive prospecting process.
If you don’t think so much, you’ll like to know that they go further, sharing a little about their management techniques and demonstrating how to achieve a strong culture that leads the company to success, going through several areas, such as Customer Success, Operations and even Technology (I love Ship It ).
Two materials I really like are “ The Ultimate Guide to Growth Hacking ” and “” Segmentation: How to generate better results by sending fewer emails ”.
Hubspot is the biggest competitor of Resultados Digitais here in Brazil. While the first dominates the American market and much of the world, the second has established itself in the Brazilian market and has been developing a product that is well adapted to our culture.
To be honest, I don’t follow Hubspot’s Portuguese blog much, but I’ve been following the articles in English for a long time.
There are three broad categories on your blog: marketing, sales, and a more specific one aimed at agencies. When we talk about the first one, I always like to analyze some tips about lead relationship and email marketing.
The material that is a true work of art is the State Of Inbound.
To handle all the volumes they produce, Hubspot sometimes diversifies and seeks to deliver alternative content, such as combining psychology and behavioral economics with different marketing activities.
Content Marketing is Rock Content’s blog, one of the pioneers in the Brazilian market and. as far as I know, the biggest blog on the subject in Tupinikim lands.
Even more than Inbound, I believe that Content Marketing should be a present and constant part of the salesperson’s life, whether using blog posts to generate value in follow ups or answering questions about leads during negotiations.
In addition to making your life easier, all the material produced helps to generate even more credibility and, combined with a good passive prospecting process, can become a great source of qualified leads by maturity for your sales team.
I loved the Content Marketing article Deadpool wrote for them! Chimichanga!

Henrique Carvalho is the author of Viver de Blog and has helped us a lot to produce better content. With great references regarding rich material and epic posts. We try to interpret the quality he transfers to his articles and adapt it to our reality, dealing specifically with outbound marketing and sales.
It’s worth checking out the Case do Viver de Blog , where Henrique tells more about why he decided to produce less content in quantity, but focused on very high quality and relevance. I can’t disagree that, at least for him, the strategy worked very well.
QuickSprout / Neil Patel
This 2 in 1 indication is because most of the posts we use as a reference on the Quick Sprout blog were produced by Neil Patel himself, who also has his own personal blog. He even started to produce posts in Portuguese for the Brazilian market.
Patel is one of the great world references in SEO and, like Henrique Carvalho in Viver de Blog, he always tried to produce epic content (sometimes too dense, but with impressive richness and detail).
The type of content it produces helps me to understand technically how the inbound process works and what tactics experts use to generate traffic and convert leads.
It’s worth checking out your tip about content that can go viral and how to get started !
Seth Godin is one of the great references for those who work with digital marketing because of his theories and ideas about creating tribes, for example. Seth teaches a lot about how to win a loyal audience, helping to target the entire market, seeking to adapt both content and positioning in relation to the needs and desires of your target audience.
If you haven’t read it yet, you can start with one of his books, (my favorite among them): Tribes – We Need You to Lead Us .
In addition, his blog follows a line completely opposite to that of Neil Patel and Henrique Carvalho, with short texts, going straight to the point and seeking to encourage readers’ reflection: Brand Exceptionalism .
Growth Hackers is a forum focused on marketing and sales professionals who want to scale their results. Focused on technology-based companies, especially SaaS, this channel brings together some of the best professionals in the area.
One of the greatest exponents and attractions for the channel’s success is Sean Ellis, cover of this article, inclusive. With stints at LogMeIn and Up Roar until the IPO of both companies (and also stakes in other companies such as Qualaroo, KissMetrics, Dropbox and now founder of Growthhackers.com), Ellis was responsible for coining the term Growth Hacking and helping to bring the necessary credibility to the channel.
The forum produces many relevant discussions and deals with different tactics and techniques used to generate more opportunities. If you want to keep up with the cutting edge of Agile Marketing, you need to check the posts there often!

Leave the Place (or SDL for intimates)
A very good blog, SDL has everything you need to understand sales, marketing, and entrepreneurship to optimize your company’s day-to-day activities. In addition to killer tips, they also post many articles from various categories (technology, finance, leadership and strategy are some of those). And to make it even better, they even have one page with cool marketing tools, like the Marketing Calculator, and another one with cool reading tips, like e-books and marketing research.
The page is currently being managed by Rock Content, which was already a partner, so you can already know that there is good stuff out there! One of these is this text by Renato Mesquita: How to be more productive and happier. Who wouldn’t want to read about it?
Ok, the name seems a little too mocking, but go for me, you can’t not love this blog. From the design, photos of the staff of this Digital Marketing agency, Star Wars dolls. But let’s go to content: you can also find a little of everything, with emphasis on inbound marketing, content marketing and strategic planning.
A nice text is the Strategic Planning for digital projects and their tools , which tells you in a very detailed way, how your planning should be done, and also gives examples of very good and accurate tools for this process!
But if your interest is Inbound, they also answer several questions, such as How to convince your CFO to invest in inbound marketing
Vital is a North American web strategy, brand development and inbound marketing agency. On the blog you can find these subjects divided by category, and also related news.
Don’t miss the Why You Need a Documented Marketing Process text, which has some really cool insights!
In addition to the blog that is almost an entertainment channel, Brainstorm9 has a podcast that deals with variety. However, it is the analysis of different advertisements and publicity pieces that lead me to constantly monitor their content.
Always aware of the latest movements in the advertising market and focused on communication and positioning, Brainstorm9 ended up differentiating itself from the average of articles on Digital Marketing that I usually read!
